My Approach to Helping

I have 7 years of experience in the therapeutic space; assisting, guiding, joining and believing in my clients to reach their goals and potential. I have lived my professional career in wonder and amazement at the true power that comes from believing in our worth as humans. With this wonder, comes a heartbeat that grows louder everyday to lead humans back to the basics of their true selves when throughout life, others have convinced and conditioned them to believe they must be more, or less, but never enough. I want to teach people what's right with them, as they have been hearing for years all that is 'wrong' with them. I want to assist you in changing the language around who you are and what you're here for.

This life can be painful at times, and we need our people to remind us of our worth in the midst of it all and that we can feel everything and still be okay. I desire fully, to assist you in coming back home to yourself, to the personhood of your body as you have carried yourself through the chaos and pain of your life. I use an eclectic approach to therapy, centering you as the focus. I see through a person centered lens and help you answer the 'why's' to life that are uniquely yours to answer. I will never claim to know your answers, but I will lead you back to the only one that can formulate one- which is yourself. I look forward to walking alongside you in your journey.

I enjoy working with people experiencing a wide range of difficulties who need support in the following areas: mood management, substance use, post traumatic stress, family systems changes and women's issues as well as LGTBQ concerns.

My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'

I conceptualize "disorders" as being rooted mostly in nervous system dys-regulation, and a sign that your body and brain have adjusted to help you survive- not that anything is inherently "wrong" with you or shameful about you.
