What's My Approach to Therapy?

I believe in empowering people to help them take what they learn in my office and from talking with me, and then to transfer it to their own lives to improve themselves and others' around them. Life is truly too short to be in emotional or physical pain without learning how to deal with it in a healthier manner. Everyone deserves to live a more fulfilling life.

My Practice & Services

I am getting credentialed on more and more insurance panels everyday, so if you aren't sure whether or not I am covered under your panel, please call and check.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

Please don't give up- finding the right therapist is like finding the right doctor- you have to get a good "vibe" and feeling from that person and feel comfortable with that person, otherwise you won't feel comfortable talking to that person and won't show up for appointments. There should be no shame in "shopping" for the right therapist; I wouldn't want to disclose my issues with someone I didn't feel I could trust.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

Absolutely- I think when I can relate to clients and appropriately self-disclose my own struggles of when I have experienced what they have gone through and how I came through, or can find the humor in a situation, it makes me more human to a client.
