My Approach to Helping
HOLISTIC APPROACH: My therapy practice is founded in Transpersonal and Psychodynamic modalities that blend both traditional talk therapy, mindfulness-based practices and spiritual teachings grounded in real world experience. I play an active role in the therapeutic relationship with curiosity, enthusiasm and deep emotional availability.
CANNABIS-FRIENDLY: Cannabis medicine has many benefits for people struggling with depression, anxiety, insomnia and chronic pain. Although cannabis use might not be the best coping strategy for everyone dealing with mental health issues, I am a cannabis-friendly therapist who can work with you compassionately on finding a way to reduce your suffering.
TRAUMA INFORMED: Healing from trauma looks differently for everyone. While talking about how we have been impacted by horrific experiences can be helpful, trauma survivors often do not have the basic regulation skills to cope with everyday triggers. A trauma informed approach recognizes that safety in the therapy room is key to meaningful healing.
