My Approach to Helping
I have experience providing counseling to adults, families, children, and couples. I use a whole-person, systemic lens when working with clients and focus on what each client deems most significant. I look at each individual’s strengths as well as how their difficulties in various life domains impact their overall functioning. I work with clients to find what lights you up – whether that is a passion for coding, hiking, parenting, party planning, healthy eating, an exercise you love, spiritual practices that center you, or whatever it is you love – and incorporate those things into your life more regularly. I believe that knowledge is powerful and will weave helpful information and education on mental health topics throughout sessions.
I am passionate about helping people reach their full potential. I work to empower my clients to gain new skills for emotional regulation, conflict resolution, facing confrontation, overcoming shame, processing grief and loss, healthy parenting, and life transitions. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and I’m passionate about providing quality, professional therapy services to each and every client whether seeking services individually, as a couple, or for their family.
