My Approach to Helping
As a woman who has encountered many setbacks and obstacles within my own interpersonal relationships, I understand and empathize with wanting to regain a sense of identity and self following the termination of a relationship/navigating the ups and downs of various relationships.
Krystin McAdams, MEd, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who began her journey in the counseling field in 2012.Krystin has experience in mental health skill building, intensive in-home services, therapeutic day treatment, and professional school counseling. She has worked with a variety of populations with varying challenges such as social/emotional deficits and mental illnesses, including, but not limited to, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, and depression. Krystin is a dedicated and results-oriented counseling professional who brings expertise developing comprehensive treatment plans. She has a passion for listening to those who feel no one will listen to them, and that no one understands how they are feeling. Life doesn’t come with instructions, and sometimes going through it on your own can be tedious. However, Krystin believes therapy can result in change and transformation. She is committed to working with her clients as they uncover what it is they believe and want for themselves. Krystin utilizes techniques from solution focused brief therapy (SFBT), motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). She provides a safe, nonjudgmental environment within the therapeutic process that can lead to personal growth. Krystin looks forward to being a part of your journey.
