My Approach to Helping
Kathy thoroughly enjoys working with adults, young adults and children. Her focus has been on addressing trauma, low self-esteem, college-related issues, women's issues, chronic health concerns, depression, and life transitional difficulties. Kathy prioritizes mutual connection and respect in a therapeutic relationship. She believes that everyone deserves to have a safe space for personal growth. She also encourages each individual to remember that taking even one small step can create a significant impact. Kathy is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A)who earned her Master's degree inClinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Sheutilizes a variety of techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, person-centered, and solutions-focused therapy (SFT). She can also provide faith-based Christian integration counseling if desired. Kathy values creatively collaborating with each individual, based on their unique goals and needs. Kathy believes no concern is too big or small! It takes bravery to face them and Kathy looks forward to supporting you in working towards living your fuller, healthier life!
