My Approach to Helping
Kasia Wereszczynska has provided mental health services to people in the South Side of Chicago and the North Shore Area for more than 15 years. She has advanced training in a number of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, and crisis intervention. Kasia has treated individuals from a variety of racial, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds. She also has extensive experience working in various settings such as hospital emergency rooms, schools, the mental health court system, community mental health agencies, and psychiatric hospitals.
Kasia currently works at counseling speaks, a contemporary counseling clinic. She provides mental health services at the Chicago Behavioral Hospital and is the past president of both the Illinois Association of Multicultural Counseling (IAMC) and the Chicago Counseling Association (CCA).
Kasia founded the In Her Shoes Foundation in 2008 to help women develop and maintain a healthy, positive lifestyle. She also teaches Psychology classes at the University of St. Francis and Oakton Community College.
