My Approach to Helping
Karen Gall is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor and National Board Certified Counselor with 26 years of experience in the mental health field. She is passionate about helping adolescents, adults, and couples address their unique challenges and live more fulfilled lives. Karen specializes in depression, anxiety, relationship issues, major life transitions, parenting issues, and crisis services. Karen has worked with children, adolescents, and families as well as juvenile offenders in a juvenile detention facility and in a crisis shelter providing crisis services. She has also worked with individuals with developmental disabilities and provided intensive in-home family services for adults and children. Additionally, she has worked with adults with severe and persistent mental health issues as well as overseen teen leadership training, working with adolescents and their parents. Karen completed her Master’s Degree, M.Ed. in Agency Counseling from North Carolina State University in 2005. She has worked in two agency settings and has overseen clinicians working with all populations in crisis settings within hospitals and emergency room departments. Karen has provided clinical and administrative supervision to licensed and non-licensed clinicians. She is person-centered in her work and supports clients through any life transition (including job loss or change, divorce, a recent move, and sexuality realization). Karen utilizes multiple treatment approaches including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, reality therapy, and solution-focused therapy. We all go through challenges in life. Karen provides a comfortable, non-judgmental, and safe environment.
