My Approach to Helping

While drawing from evidenced-based treatments (e.g., CBT, MBCT, & ACT), my approach to therapy is grounded in authenticity, collaboration, and the creation of a safe and welcoming space from which to assist each individual in reaching their individual goals. My work with clients often involves the combination of developing practical skills to assist in managing daily stressors while also working to uncover and resolve the root cause of one’s suffering. The process of healing evolves one step at a time, and I encourage you to reach out if you're interested in starting this journey.

All of our therapists are experts in the field, We specialize in evidence-based treatments, those whose effectiveness has been proven by the most current scientific research. Our treatment approach is based on the concept that your mental health is equally as important as your physical health, and that attending to your mental health is essential for living a truly fulfilled life.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

The purpose of psychotherapy is unique to each person and may even change throughout the course of treatment. For some, it is to break free from the anxiety, depression, andor emotional distress that lay hold on their life. For others, therapy is a place to better understand themselves while growing to reach their optimal potential at the office, in the home, or in the sports arena. I have also worked with many who simply need a place to be honest and open about the ongoing stresses of chronic illness, grief and loss, or relational conflict.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Groups I Work With

I am a clinical psychologist with specialized training in the areas of health psychology, neuropsychology and mindfulness. I received my doctoral training from the University of Miami (UM) and postdoctoral specialization in neuropsychology at UM, Miller School of Medicine. I have been honored to work with individuals struggling with a wide range of emotional, healthmedical, familyrelational, and occupation-related concerns. I have also received advanced training as a mindfulness instructor and have authored multiple scientific papers on its benefits among those enduring periods of elevated stress. Inspired by my background as a former Division I football player, I am additionally passionate about integrating my clinical and research experiences in helping others optimize their performance in both their personal and professional lives.
