My Approach to Helping
Are you having difficulty with life transitions like divorce, relocation, or grief? Do you feel tense, worried, tired, and unsure of how to improve the situation? You may be fed up with feeling overwhelmed, stuck, and frustrated. You might not remember a time things didn’t feel this way. But one thing is for sure: you’re ready for some relief. You’re ready to experience greater mental clarity, quality sleep, and contentment. You’re ready to feel more confident in navigating life’s stressors and your relationships. Most of all, you’re ready to feel inspired and peaceful. You’re ready for a new “normal,” and I can help you get there.
I focus on helping professional women who are moving through life transitions. It has been said marriage, divorce, grief, career changes, and moving are some of the most challenging transitions. Maybe your career is strong but your personal life is a struggle. When you seem to have it all together on the outside, it can be hard to acknowledge internal struggles. Trust your gut; it's time for some support through this rough patch. Now may be the time for a little extra support. Talking with friends and family can be helpful, but sometimes a deeper look with a trained professional can give a perspective you may be missing. Through the process of psychotherapy you have the opportunity to find relief and redesign your life, exactly the way you want it to be. Learn how to manage stress and worry, deliberately choose thoughts that are balanced, and prioritize actions in a way that leads you towards purpose, contentment, and joy.
We’ll work together to:
1) Give you a space to tell your story
2) Discuss your hopes and goals
3) Find ways to clear your path for change
4) Identify steps you can take to move towards goal achievement
5) Celebrate and maintain changes!
The first step in creating change is focusing on you.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
Just know I have been through plenty of life changes and am human just like you. Frustrations come up, life brings difficulties and disappointments, some relationships are tough, and whoa have I made some poor choices leading me to work through "stuff," but this is exactly why I love this field. This field has helped me gain a whole new perspective that I wouldn't trade for anything. I bet it will do the same for you. To me there is nothing more exciting than watching the women I work with struggle and grow through serious challenges and then come out the other side stronger for the journey. There is absolutely no reason to suffer when solutions are available!
