My Approach to Helping
As a specialist in trauma, stress, and anxiety I am certified to use evidence based interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and the Flash Technique. My graduate work prepared me to employ advanced clinical interventions while I focused on serving rural and tribal communities.
I have held roles as a therapist, caseworker, recruiter, trainer, and consultant. I have supported my clients in navigating challenges and transitions in the wilderness, crises, forensic, long-term residential, and outpatient settings. My approach to treatment is collaborative, skill-based, and solution focused.
Therapy is a commitment of time, energy, and resources which is why I encourage prospective clients in researching and interviewing providers to find the right fit.
