For the past four years I have worked in a community setting assisting with mental health needs as a counselor. I have work experience with crisis intervention, individual, couple, and family therapy. I also have work experience assisting with co-occurring disorders as well as severe and persistent mental illness. I provide trauma informed care for all individuals and utilize an eclectic approach that centers around Cognitive and Choice theories.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in criminal justice and social services. I worked in the criminal justice field as a probation officer for six years. Prior to my work as a probation officer, I worked with families using conflict mediation and resolution strategies through the court system.
