My Approach to Helping
Welcome to taking your first step to finding the right support for yourself. Being human is a challenging experience, now made more so by technology’s rapid growth in the 21st century. Advances in telecommunications have brought convenience and ease of staying in touch with others but they have also added more complexity to navigating living in our current times and to genuinely connecting with one another. I believe my clients have the inner resources to heal and create their own happiness.
My role as a therapist is to listen to a client’s concerns and then we collaborate on what the goals of our sessions will be. Goals may involve working through current conflicts (internal or external), grieving losses in life, making sense of relational struggles andor supporting them in building or rebuilding the emotional resources required to thrive.
I believe a nurturing relationship is foundational to growth, therefore, the fit between client and therapist needs to feel right. I offer a free initial consultation of 25-50 minutes. I encourage potential clients to talk to other therapists if they are not sure about the connection. Whether we end up working together or not, please know that no matter who you are or what brings you here, you are worthy of care. If we do not meet, I wish you the best on your journey.
