My Approach to Helping
I specialize in two areas. First, I work with children who struggle with anxiety, low self-esteem, family conflict or challenges using their voice to stand up for themselves. I help their parents work peacefully with their child's feelings and behaviors. My second area of expertise is supporting adults who suffered emotional neglect, emotional abuse or narcissistic parenting when they were growing up and now struggle with anxiety, trust issues, self-isolation, feelings of guilt or shame, people pleasing tendencies, difficulty speaking up or challenges setting healthy boundaries with others.
I utilize play and art therapy with children, so they feel safe to access and express their feelings. Through talk therapy, anxiety-calming techniques, exploration of thoughts and feelings, education and empowerment, I provide a safe space to help adults heal their own wounded inner-child.
