My Approach to Helping
Hi, my name is Jennifer and my pronouns are she/her. Take your time finding the right therapist fit for you. We all need something different and the therapeutic relationship is very important. Just as I remind my clients to "be gentle with yourself", I extend that intention for you and the chance to explore further. Know that I am here when you are ready.
My clients seek a collaborative and affirming therapeutic relationship based in trust, safety, transparency, and growth. We process trauma, identify shame, build self-worth, and develop self-love. We examine struggle in relationships and explore how to effectively identify and communicate our feelings, needs, and boundaries. Some goals could include working through internalized shame, increasing emotional availability, improving emotional regulation, exploring identity, improving self-esteem, decreasing anxiety, processing trauma, building a support system, and decreasing symptoms of depression.
