My Approach to Helping
I'm so glad that you've taken this step toward feeling better in your life. Working with a therapist can be just the support and motivation you need to find your path in life and start walking.
I will provide a safe space for you to be open, honest, self-reflective and the perfectly imperfect you. When we meet, you will be able to work through your feelings and struggles without judgment and be accepted regardless of what you’re going through.
It is possible for you to feel less nervous, irritable, insecure, and reactive. You can decrease your negative thought patterns and difficulty concentrating. Accepting and embracing your sensitivities can help you feel more peaceful, motivated, balanced, and more alive.
I help couples work through issues and reconnect to get back to a healthier, happier relationship.
More Info About My Practice
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working with individual adults and couples. Clients experiencing anxiety, relationship issues, or going through a life transition will be met with compassion, support and encouragement.
I promote mindfulness and self-love in sessions and help clients to begin to practice these in daily life to increase a sense of calm and balance in anxious and stressful times. I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I'm trained in the Gottman Method for couples therapy.
After making a considerable career change, I began working in the mental health field in 2010. My experience began in community mental health working with severe and persistent mental illness, addiction, hospice end-of-life and bereavement, and I have worked in a private practice setting for the past 4+ years.
I meet with clients primarily via Teletherapy, but will be able to begin meeting in-person in Denver within the month, primarily for couples work.
