My Approach to Helping

You find yourself struggling to get out of bed and feel motivated to do much of anything. Memories of past trauma resurface and flood your nervous system at the most inconvenient times, making it impossible for you to breathe and relax. Perhaps you struggle with anxiety, depression, marital problems, church hurt, unresolved grief, chronic pain, or high anxiety. As a trauma-informed counselor, I get it, and I can help you. As a trauma informed therapist, I'll use science-based approaches to help you feel safe in your own skin, engage in practices that alleviate your suffering, and help you engage in gentle and powerful exploration of your past using IFS-informed EMDR and somatic parts work to help you become free. This isn't just symptom management but helping you heal from the inside out!

Because I've survived childhood trauma,, church hurt, chronic illness, and more, I've got a solid ground of empathy to help you move from survival mode to flourishing. I'm also comfortable discussing sexuality and spirituality issues from a warm, affirming, and nonjudgmental stance. Let's work together to come up with solutions to whatever challenges you face!

We'll use mindfulness and EMDR which can rewire your brain for positive growth and recover from trauma, depression, anxiety, and more. EMDR helps you digest trauma out of your body and plant new core beliefs which help you live with courage, confidence, and calm.
