My Approach to Helping
As mental health counselor with years of experience working with individuals and couples, I am able to understand the multiple challenges that life presents to us at times.
Jeffrey Everett is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 20 years of experience aligning with adults and couples who have sought help regarding issues related to trauma resolution, substance use, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, and men’s issues. Jeffcan help clients build on their innate resiliency and live life to the fullest by staying true to their values. Jeff completed his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology at Louisiana State University and his Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology at Stephen F. Austin State University. His approach combines several different modalities including mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, collaborative couples therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), but Jeff will tailor your particular treatment plan to best meet your unique and specific needs. Jeff has a collaborative and warm style of counseling as he believes in establishing the client’s goals early on in the therapy process while building rapport through respect, sensitivity, and compassion. He believes in the importance of validating where every client is currently in working on their issues, always remembering it takes courage to seek out ways to live a more meaningful life.
