My Approach to Helping

My special focus is the treatment of trauma (PTSD), anxiety, and depression. I am a Certified Trauma Professional with advanced training and experience with dissociative disorders including DID. I use EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Clinical hypnosis, and Sensorymotor Processing all which have been proven effective in helping people reprocess and release trauma in a minimal amount of time. I help people take back control of their lives by providing a safe place and the tools necessary to acknowledge the trauma, reprocess it, and integrate it back into their lives so that it no longer controls them. I help you stay grounded in the present while reprocessing the trauma, paying particular attention to your body, movements, your emotions, and your beliefs about yourself and what happened.

More Info About My Practice

I help people find transformational and positive change in their life. I view counseling as a collaborative experience and a safe place where self-discovery, learning, and healing takes place. The key to effective counseling is providing a safe place where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a positive and non-judgmental atmosphere. I will listen to you, help you clarify your thoughts and feelings, and help you to begin to gain a better understanding of yourself. We will select goals or objectives together that will help you become the person you want or experience the relief you seek.
