My Approach to Helping
My practice has immediate openings with discounted rates and evening hours. Asking for help isn’t easy. Yet, I believe it is worth the risk to find support and healing. That’s why when you are ready to ask for help, we are here to provide a safe, trustworthy, and collaborative counseling relationship. I have successfully helped others with traumaPTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, people pleasing, grief, negative thoughts, and women's hormonal health. I offer a comforting, warm, and genuine atmosphere, and use a variety of interventions. I often incorporate and enjoy using EMDR, Somatic Experiencing (SE), CBT, and sand-tray therapy.
My approach is grounded in psychodynamic and attachment theory, focusing on the importance of relationships, connection, and the influence of our past. I also enjoy incorporating education, tools, and activities to help you feel at ease. Whether you have goals in mind or aren’t sure where to start, my goal is to work together so you feel safe, heard, and excited about life.
I have several counseling interns in training that provides individual, family, and couples therapy for $50 a session. This is a great way to receive affordable counseling with me overseeing her work to assist in your healing with someone that in the midst of learning the latest treatment and modalities.
