My Approach to Helping
Guidance, insight, and genuine support are some of the few elements that people can expect when receiving services with me. I am passionate and love what I do. I feel honored and privileged when people decide to share their story with me. Life often presents with overwhelming and unthinkable challenges that may be too difficult to face on your own. I invite you to an experience where you will be heard, understood, and work together towards feeling better and lighter (whatever that means for you).
I practice using an eclectic approach and one in which your strengths and unique characteristics are highlighted to help us navigate the therapeutic experience. I incorporate Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and person-centered interventions to aid in ensuring that your goals are met. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused CBT. I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress related to trauma(s), and grief. Other areas of focus include relationships, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns.
