My Approach to Helping
Guidance, insight, and genuine support are some of the few elements that people can expect when receiving services with me. I am passionate and love what I do. I recognize that life often presents with overwhelming and unthinkable challenges that may be too difficult to face on your own. I invite you to an experience where you will be heard, understood, and we will work together to address your presenting concerns.
Interested in experiencing more pleasant emotions again, want to go about your day without thinking about terrible things that have happened to you? Want to learn better ways to manage these things? Talking about your concerns or difficult experiences can feel uncomfortable but know that you will be heard and supported in a judgment-free and safe space.
I practice using an eclectic approach and one in which your strengths and unique characteristics are highlighted to help us navigate the therapeutic experience. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused CBT which are evidence-based interventions used to treat trauma, depression, andor anxiety. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and practice from person-centered approach. It is important to note that I approach each individual as unique therefore everyone receives individualized therapeutic approaches that best fit the person's needs. I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress related to trauma(s), andor grief. Other areas of focus include relationships, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns.
