My Approach to Helping

I am an experienced EMDR and CSAT therapist with specialities in sexual addiction, infidelity and relationship challenges. In addition, I work with individuals seeking fulfillment and growth in multiple areas of life - including career, emotional health and any limiting belief system.

If you are trapped in any cycle of addiction you know how powerless and hopeless each day can feel. If you are the partner of infidelity or sexual addiction you are probably experiencing your own form of personal trauma and despair. At these times life can feel overwhelming and so isolating. is here and available - you are truly not alone. My primary objective is to provide a safe, caring place for you to begin your process. Together we will work to heal from unhealthy compulsive behaviors, unresolved shame and codependency.

I have a previous, successful career as a businesstechnology consultant and understand the demands of leaders and professionals. I study neuroscience and work from an evidence based foundation. Visit my website or call to learn more. Let's get started together today!

More Info About My Practice

My practice is located in downtown Palatine, IL but services much of the northwest suburbs and North Shore.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Before I became a therapist I did years of my own work and consider it one of the most transformative times of my life. I tell my clients that some of the healthiest and strongest individuals I know are the ones who have done their work. If you have the time and financial resources to pursue counseling then consider it an opportunity!

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

It's the relationship between client and therapist that is truly paramount. I believe in establishing safety and trust from the first session. I want the therapy room to be a place where you can be totally honest and feel totally accepted. I try to practice "unconditional positive regard" for each client I meet with. If we can establish the right relationship it will go such a far way to our journey together.
