My Approach to Helping
As a culturally-sensitive and strength-focused therapist, my approach to therapy is to provide support and guidance to help my clients move past their internal struggles. I do not believe that I am an expert on your life or that I know all the answers, but I do believe that I can create a non-judgmental and safe environment for growth and learning. I hope that through building our relationship with each other, I am able to help you gain key insights to make sense of your problems/patterns and work with you to identify your emotional needs. By helping you understand the "why" to your behaviors, thoughts, emotions, and relationships, we are better able to see the underlying force that impacts your life. Once we are able to shine some light on the situation, I will help you develop the necessary tools skills to overcome it.
Although we all want to get to the end results as fast as possible, therapy and life, in general, is a long journey that could be easier with someone walking next to you.
