My Approach to Helping
I am Dr. Weedny Andre, Ph.D., LMHC, MFT. I have over 15 years of experience providing pastoral ministry and counseling to children, adolescents, women, men, couples, and elders. These experiences include five years of healing ministry and emotional support as Chaplain for terminal ill individuals and their families at Baptist Hospital. I am culturally sensitive, inclusive, and am committed to supporting my clients. I speak English, French, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, and Spanish. I earned my Ph.D. in the field of marriage and family therapy. I hold a MS degree in mental health counseling and marriage & family therapy from Barry University and a BS degree in theology.
I have experience in individual counseling, premarital counseling, Christian/spiritual counseling, and grief. I know how to address children\'s behavioral issues, marital conflicts, teenagers, family, employment issues, depression, anxiety, anger, and stress management. I would like to help you create a healthy life balance.
I value the resources and strengths that the client brings to therapy. I am equipped to help to build the bridge for changes and to make important life decisions. I am engaged to establishing creating a safe, respectful, and caring environment for growth and self-discovery.
We also help children and adolescents with autism. We are compassionate and committed to make differences.
