My Approach to Helping
Stressed out, burnt out, anxious? I primarily work with adults struggling to adjust to life's demands and the difficulty that comes with change. If we don't have the right tools it can lead to a lot of self-doubt and insecurity. It's especially so if early relationships were not healthy. If you'd like to feel more hopeful, set better boundaries with others, manage your expectations, and improve relationships, my goal is to give you the tools to have a healthy control over your life.
My approaches take from practices including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, CBT, and Attachment Theory. This means I believe it's important not to avoid unpleasant feelings but find ways to be able to avoid the control they have over us. I've also seen how crucial it is to build positive relationships built on healthy boundaries and communications.
