My Approach to Helping
My name is Dereka Ross. If you've found yourself here, you've found the right place. This is a place where you can find safety. This is a place where you will be greeted with compassion and understanding. Most importantly, this is a place where you can completely be who you are without apology.
Over the years, I have found that person-centered, psychodynamic, variations of CBT, Gestalt and existential approaches have been most effective in healing the whole person. It is through nonjudgement, understanding the past, feeling our experiences, and embarking on the journey of becoming our best selves is where meaning emerges.
