My Approach to Helping

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”

This sentiment by Maya Angelou beautifully encapsulates the heart of Matthew Rumsey’s counseling philosophy. The shared venture is a collaborative exploration of your unique narrative, where authenticity, hope, healing, and resilience intersect. In counseling sessions with Matthew, he is committed to fostering a warm and understanding atmosphere and he firmly believes that within every individual lies a unique set of strengths, waiting to be acknowledged and embraced. Together, you and he will navigate the complexities of your emotions, thoughts, and experiences, building a therapeutic alliance that encourages self-discovery and positive transformation. Matthew is not only your guide but also your advocate, and he is here to support you in finding meaning, purpose, and empowerment in every facet of your evolution.
