Some people are not good at asking for help. Self-reliance is all you have ever known, and you are so used to being ‘the helper’ that you do not take the time to take care of yourself. You have become used to an unbalanced give and take, and your instinct is to figure it out on your own or tough it out. Break that cycle and find empowerment in self-care.
