My Approach to Helping

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 25 years of experience as a clinician with a specialty in working with PTSD/trauma. I have lived and worked abroad for many years and now that I am back in the U.S, I specialize in working with client who are experiencing mental health symptoms related to their immigration proceedings. I provide thorough and compassionate mental health assessments to immigration clients and/or their family members who may be applying for asylum, VAWA or extreme hardship waivers.

More Info About My Practice

Our fees for counseling range from 95-$125 per hour and we accept Cigna, Aetna, Tricare, Florida Hospital and Orlando Health Employee health plan insurances. We offer flexible office hours with some evening appointments. We are conveniently located close to Interstate 4 and SR 434 in Altamonte Springs.

What I Usually Need to Know to Help

During my first meeting with a client, I like to hear about ways they have overcome past challenges in their life. Clients bring with them to counseling many strengths and coping strategies that have worked for them before and it is important to identify those strategies before we start adding any new coping skills through counseling.
