My Approach to Helping
Are you concerned about your eating habits? Do you struggle with low mood, anxious thoughts and feelings? Or do you struggle with insomnia, andor poor sleep hygiene? I'm currently accepting new clients. I have been trained through the Beck Institute of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and the Center for Research on Eating Disorders at Oxford. I offer structured appointments; together we will follow an agenda, ending each session with an action plan to guide you in continuing your work outside of sessions. You can think of me as a coach to teach you therapy skills that you can use well after treatment is over.
I am passionate about supporting individuals who are living with or supporting an individual with an eating disorder. If this is you, I am here to help by providing guidance on how cope with your own emotions, provide education on eating disorders, and strategies to help your loved one.
For those looking for help with their insomnia, I offer structured CBT-I appointments. CBT-I is generally the first treatment recommended for insomnia, it helps you look at your thoughts and behaviors around sleep and replace these with new habits that support a better quality of sleep. I also offer education on sleep hygiene and nightmare re-scripting.
