Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
You will want to find a therapist that you will be able to build a therapeutic relationship with. In my practice my, I see therapy with my clients as a working alliance where we both contribute to the session. I want you to bring your self as you see yourself, not the ?ideal? client. You will be able to speak freely, candidly in a safe place that you allow yourself to be vulnerable. I will bring my authentic self because I am a real person and many of my client?s enjoy the therapy sessions because they feel that they are speaking with a ?real person that cares?. While the sessions may have a vibe that you are chatting with a friend, we will maintain professional boundaries and keep your best interest in mind while we work towards your goals. I have noticed how clients are able to learn, change and grow when both the therapist and client can be themselves and have a mutual professional respect for one another. I think these are important factors for choosing a therapist.
