My Approach to Helping

I am a clinical therapist with a License as a Professional Counselor, My degrees and certification are MA, MBA, LPC, EMDR, NCC (he, him). I have truly enjoyed my 40 plus years of helping people and empower them to have a successful future. If you are having problems with work, marriage, or any relationships give me a call and we can start working to provide you with a successful and enjoyable future. I specializes in trauma, PTSD, Depression, and Anxiety. Certified for EMDR. I bring 40 years of care and compassion for individual and business clients' concerns to my practice. I assists clients to better understand their problems and provides a trusting environment to develop solutions. A Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor, I possess a Masters of Arts in Psychology and Professional Counseling, and an MBA in Management and Entrepreneurship, I help individuals, couples, and business owners and their employees solve their problem(s).

I address problems associated with: work, family, life, stress, PTSD, grief, loss, abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, personality problems, phobias, and addiction(s), along with any business problem you are experiencing. Over 30 years experience in business: planningconsulting, as well, as budgeting, financial, and investment consulting. EMDR certified helps with little talking. We address a wide range of cognitive issues, business plans, resolve administrative and growth problems, and succession planning. You can find solutions in a trusting, safe, productive, and healing environment. No time like the present to solve what ever is bothering you!

There are two approaches I use to provide therapy. They are EMDR, due to the positive impact EMDR has produced in the clients. I see positive results after each session. The second is Motivational Interview. It empower the client to find solutions though resource they already possesses. Above all, the research regarding MI lets the client know it is the therapist's fault if the client is feeling defensive or resistance. This one piece of information has really helped me through the years. "Client's are human being, people, and I should treat them as such."

I work with individual, companies, and family. This includes individuals who are 17 to 90 years of age. I work with all ethnicity, cultural backgrounds, sexual preferences, and socioeconomic identity. I make every effort not to raise my voice, keep a calm and workable environment. I desire to make this a very present place to spend one hour. Over 45 years ago, while at college, I found a love for helping people solve their problems. I was surprised that I had the ability to develop solutions to both simple and difficult problems. After I had been doing this for 3 years, when I ended up back in my hometown, I began doing financial and substance abuse counseling through the church I attended. I was ask by many Pastors to come and speak to their congregations. By 1987, I had spoken at over 50 churches across the United States. Since that time I embarked on business consulting to help business in over 40 states.

Together, the client and I understand that setting attainable and productive goals is important. "Where we end is where we begin." The first session is meant to gather information. This is also when you as the client will get to know me as your therapist. It is my responsibility to establish trust with you and help to make you comfortable sharing what is on your mind. Building a relationship of trust between the client and therapist can determine the success of therapeutic outcomes.
