My Approach to Helping
I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2006. Since that time, I have worked in residential, outpatient, case management, and inpatient areas of practice.
I primarily use interventions of cognitive behavioral theory, interpersonal psychotherapy, solution-based theory, strength-based theory, crisis intervention theory, and motivational interviewing in my practice.
I specialize in working with individuals struggling with mood disturbances such as depression and bipolar, anxiety struggles including diagnoses such as obsessive compulsion (OCD), social phobia, panic, and thought disturbances such as schizophrenia.
I approach all of my clients with compassion, empathy, and a strong desire to empower others to take responsibility for their own happiness since true happiness can only come from within."
