My Approach to Helping

I am best suited for clients who are ready to work on improving their quality of life. Sometimes we need to address the past, the present, or our worries about the future. Maybe we are supporting young humans in growing and need some direction for the best ways to set limits and communicate. Regardless of the issue, therapy is a valuable experience and a great weapon to have in tackling both the large and small issues that come up in life.

I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, and grief in both minors and adults. I utilize techniques from different modalities to help provide the best fit for you, including eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and narrative therapies.

It's hard to ask for support when you're struggling. Picking up the phone and calling and taking that first step to wellness can be the hardest part of processing any issues you're having. If you are ready to take back control of your life, give me a call or sign up on my website. I'm happy to help you work through this.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

Me too. I have been to a few therapists and counselors in my life and I gotta tell ya, it hasn't always been great. The "good ones" helped me to work through my own struggles with anxiety and PTSD. I always hope to be one of the good ones! Communication is key, so if my approach isn't working for you, that's okay! It's so important to find a good fit. If we find that we don't "click" and that I can't meet your needs, I'm happy to help you find services somewhere else. Therapy is such a great tool and resource, we just have to work toward finding the right person with the right methods for you.
