My Approach to Helping
I help teens, adults, couples, and families heal from grief and loss. Losing someone you love is hard. There is no guidebook or magic wand that can erase the pain. I work with those who are grieving because I know how hard it is. My own life experience with grief and loss has aided me in my compassion and understanding of this unique emotion. It's unfortunate that our society just doesn't handle grief well. Grief is stigmatized and misunderstood on so many levels. People genuinely try to help and often unintentionally put their foot in their mouths. It's hard to explain to others what we're feeling and the intensity of the pain. Many people suffer physical discomforts such as breathlessness, body aches, debilitating fatigue, headaches, tense shoulders and neck, and stomach ailments. Some people feel as if they're losing their minds because all of a sudden they can't seem to remember anything and their concentration has disappeared. Your sleep schedule and appetite may be negatively affected. You may feel overwhelmed with your changing life and having to take on roles you never expected. I partner with you on your journey - sometimes being a guide, always offering support, helping you to problem solve, and being that person that it's safe to say anything to without any fear of judgment. I truly care about your well-being. Give me a call if you're in need of help, it may sound counterintuitive but I truly love to help people through the hard parts of their lives.
