My Approach to Helping

Feeling disconnected or unfufilled in your life or in relationships? Patterns and beliefs that may have been helpful at one time in your life, may be keeping you feeling stuck and disconnected from what you are ultimately seeking. Whether it is neglecting what is important to you, a dissatisfying relationship, seeking clarity and direction in life, or dealing with a major life transition- you know you are ready for something to change.

Approaching change from a holistic and systemic perspective allows us to explore how one choice we make, one behavior we change, one unhelpful thought we take the power out of can impact various aspects of our life. I offer a creative, direct, and compassionate approach to helping and facilitating change. My compassion comes from the tremendous amount of strength and bravery to seek support from a stranger when you are feeling stuck in your life.

Creativity and a fresh perspective are helpful when you have been trying all the tools, tricks and skills you know and still seem to feel that what you are doing is not getting you what you want. I look forward to being a part of the healing and helping you get back on your path to living a fulfilling life.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I have experience helping couples increasing their connection, improving communication and creating a shared direction in their relationship. Or maybe you are experiencing relationship distress- contemplating leaving a relationship or recently experiencing a break up- relationship counseling offers you a nonjudgmental space to make decisions and heal.

My Role as a Therapist

As a therapist I am committed to providing a safe, nonjudgemental, and comfortable space to do some difficult, and at times, uncomfortable work. I believe that life is a journey and that each and every experience you have had has helped shape you as a person but doesn't have to determine who you become. Our experiences, past and present provide us with information about our strengths, resiliency, and challenges.

I offer a direct, creative, and compassionate approach when working with people and believe therapy is a collaborative practice. Therapy is hard work, and at times will feel uncomfortable and challenging. Integrating creativity allows us the chance to be playful as you try on new ways of doing things that will feel awkward, make mistakes, incorporate humor and laughter, and have some fun with the process of getting to know a truer you. If this is a style that sounds like it will work for you, I look forward to hearing from you.

Not sure if it will work? Call or email for a consult to see if we are a good fit.
