My Approach to Helping

Your culture impacts the way you view the world, the way it views you, and your experience in seeking therapy. As someone who identifies as LGBTQIA+ and a man of color, I understand the importance of inclusion. I am here to help you navigate anxieties, depression, romantic and peer relationships, career choices, sexual orientation, parenting, self-esteem, and recovery support. Our time together will be collaborative and an opportunity for growth where I see my role as someone walking alongside you.

Some people enjoy weekly appointments; Others may prefer periodic sessions. I do not believe there is a one-size fits all approach to healing. I like to join my clients where they are, and assist with a variety of techniques tailored for you. I offer an introductory 15 minute conversation to introduce myself and answer any questions you may have.

More Info About My Practice

While earning my Master's at Antioch University, I trained at The Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills where I worked with adults, couples, and facilitated a gay men’s group. After two years, I decided to turn my focus toward counseling adolescents at Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance, CA. Within this setting, I gained further exposure to the cognitive behavioral model and a deeper appreciation to the obstacles both parents and students face on a day-to-day basis.
