My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I have experience working with couples, adults, and teenagers. I also have experience working with the LGBTQ+ community. I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University and my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University-Idaho.
Life can be challenging, especially with the current state of the world. Sometimes we need extra help to handle these challenges. In my office there is room for any identity and any struggle, as I believe we are all unique and deserve space for our uniqueness. My goal as a therapist is to provide a space for my clients to build trust in themselves, identify strengths, and develop new skills to facilitate the desired change. I am informed in Emotionally Focused Therapy and Gottman, and I also often draw from Internal Family Systems, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
I am pursuing full licensure and am supervised by Charise Schwertfeger, LMFT (LMFT-15133).
