My Approach to Helping
"The best way to predict the future is to create it." That statement is at the heart of therapy. So often we are defined by what has happened to us and we get stuck living in a space filled with regret, heartache, and frustration. You don't have to live in that space and the act of searching for a therapist is a wonderfully bold and courageous start toward creating your future. My role as your therapist will be to help unlock your innate ability to heal, forgive, grow, and prosper in the life you wish to create.
My clients find that I am slow to judge, open-minded, and eager to understand life from their perspective. My primary goal is to establish a trusting and respectful therapeutic relationship. From that foundation we move forward, together, to address the issues you bring to the session.
Together we can develop the tools necessary to overcome issues of trauma, addiction, depression, grief, anger, and relational problems. Call or email me today to schedule our first session together.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." (Carl Jung) If you're like me, you've got stuff from your past that has shaped and molded your personality and decisions, oftentimes, on a level you're not fully aware of. You might be aware of the experiences you've endured, just maybe not so much how those experiences have impacted you. Most of us have insight into what isn't working in our lives. Most of us are aware that there are things we want to be different, better, and more satisfying. And, most of us, never do a thing about it! That's where psychotherapy can help. Finding someone who has the training, experience, and skills to help you unpack, process, and repack the stuff in your life that is limiting your potential is the key to a life full of healthier relationships, increased self-awareness, and greater mastery over your thoughts and behaviors. Doesn't that sound awesome?!?
My Role as a Therapist
My clients know me as non-judgmental, open-minded, and understanding. I strive to understand the world from my clients' perspectives. I aim to establish a respectful, trusting therapeutic relationship. We build upon this foundation, moving forward together to help you address the issues you bring to the session.
