My Approach to Helping
I believe change is always possible, no matter how old we are or where we are in our lives. To achieve desired change first we need to understand who we are and where we are heading in life. I bring more than 25 years of experience in Art into my therapy sessions. My experience and knowledge tin the fields of psychology and art enable me to be a creative problem-solver and a good listener.
I am a psychodynamic therapist, which means I explore the forces of your mind. This approach explores how different psychological factors can affect your life. These factors may be known or unknown to you. During each therapy session, we'll look for the underlying components of your present challenges. This can include discussing your past, present, family, parents, and your dreams.
Psychodynamic therapy works to make us more aware of unconscious conflicts, feelings, and thoughts. This helps you develop new ways of thinking about yourself and relating to others, while offering you more flexibility for tackling problems. This therapeutic approach allows unknown components of your personality to grow, helping you become the best person you can be.
