My Approach to Helping
Navigating modern adulthood can be complicated and stressful. I specialize in helping adults in their 20s and 30s manage a variety of presenting issues including trauma, relationships, identity, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, and grief and loss. My approach is queer-affirming, feminist, sex-positive, social justice-oriented, and culturally-inclusive. We'll work together to identify patterns, build upon strengths, and enrich your sense of self. My style is warm, open, and compassionate, and I aim to provide a safe, collaborative space that nurtures the therapeutic relationship and promotes empowerment and inner growth.
More Info About My Practice
I work primarily from an Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) perspective. IFS is a non-pathologizing approach to therapy that focuses on taking a curious and compassionate stance towards the many “parts” of ourselves. This work allows us to access and make sense of our inner experience with the goal of alleviating conflict, healing deep emotional wounds, and restoring harmony and peace. I also incorporate Attachment, Narrative, Somatic, and Mindfulness-based approaches. A social worker at heart, I strive to highlight and build upon your inner strengths and resources, appreciating all the complexities that make you unique.
