My Approach to Helping
Navigating modern adulthood can be complicated and stressful. I specialize in helping adults work through trauma, difficult life transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and grief and loss. My approach is feminist, queer-affirming, sex-positive, and culturally-inclusive. We'll work together to identify patterns, build upon strengths, and enrich your sense of self. My style is warm, open, and compassionate, and I provide a safe, collaborative space that nurtures the therapeutic relationship and promotes empowerment and inner growth.
More Info About My Practice
I work primarily from an Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) perspective. IFS is a non-pathologizing approach to therapy that focuses on exploring the many “parts” of ourselves. This work allows us to access and make sense of our inner experience with the goal of alleviating conflict, healing deep emotional wounds, and restoring harmony and peace. Many of my clients describe themselves as creative, empathic, driven individuals who struggle to put their own needs first. I’ll help you shift what’s no longer working while understanding the root of your patterns through an attachment lens. I strive to build upon your inner strengths and resources, appreciating all the complexities that make you unique.
