My Approach to Helping
Anna Lehew is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of West Virginia, with 13 years of experience in the mental health field. Anna has extensive experience working with adults, adolescents and children with depression, grief, anxiety, and trauma histories. As a skilled provider of couples and family counseling, Anna teaches others about healthy boundaries and communication. Anna's approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing and The Gottman Method.
Anna specializes in working with youth and adults who are experiencing mental health symptoms, PTSD, addiction, and or behavioral issues. She also works with couples and families to help them make changes that allow them to effectively communicate, work through conflicts in a skilled way and be able to be genuinely affectionate with each other.
I realize it feels risky to come to counseling. My approach is nonjudgmental and collaborative, working with the client to identify the root cause of problems so we can identify solutions for moving forward. I view my clients as courageous for taking this first step toward change. My goal is to provide encouragement towards your life goals and better overall mental wellness and self love.
