My Approach to Helping

Who would you be if you could accept yourself fully and know that you have an important part to play in this life? What would it feel like to eventually heal the pain of your past, including your most painful losses, and move forward into new possibilities? What would your life look like with less anxiety and more peace of mind? How would it feel to have satisfying relationships in which you do not compromise your own needs and self-expression?
You deserve all these things and I am passionate about helping people learn how to realize their potential. It is an honor to help people heal and I care deeply about helping clients experience greater contentment, joy, meaning and freedom from suffering in their lives.
My role as a therapist is not just my career; it is a big part of who I am. I am particularly passionate about helping people learn how to have greater self-acceptance, loosening the insidious grip of self-hate and self-judgment. Utilizing present-centered awareness, I aim to help clients become more aware of the thoughts and lifelong beliefs that keep them stuck so they can eventually move into their fullest potential. By assisting clients to tap into their own deeper wisdom, my goal is to help guide them forward with greater clarity and a renewed sense of trust in themselves. I would enjoy getting to know you on a deeper level and ultimately help you find hope and healing in the midst of your greatest challenges.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

If you are struggling with grief and loss, I would be honored to help you through your darkest days. The impact that losing a loved one can have on our lives is greatly under-appreciated in our society. In fact, grief and loss usually has a deeply profound effect on our lives and sometimes overwhelms our capacity to function normally in our everyday life. Even though we know that death is a fact of life, when it personally touches our lives, we commonly feel unprepared by the effects of grief. I offer individual and group bereavement counseling to support you on your journey through this confusing and painful time in your life. I believe grief and loss have the potential to open our hearts and help us live with greater purpose over time. Every person?s grief experience is unique and should be respected as so.
