My Approach to Helping

We are living in a world that can be all too harsh. It is okay to feel like you need more support.

I call you in: to hold a safe and inclusive space for us to process difficult experiences and create new paths for you to move forward. Through talk therapy, we can begin to notice narratives that are no longer serving you. With the proper tools, you are welcome to re-write them. I support you in being your best self and nudge you to keep going, when you need it.

I provide guidance through moments of anxiety and doubt and remind you to offer yourself compassion in times of distress. We can begin to notice narratives that are no longer serving you. With the proper tools, you are welcome to re-write them. I support you in being your best self and nudge you to keep going, when you need it.

More Info About My Practice

I offer individual psychotherapy to adults via tele-health; all are welcome to reach out. As a psychotherapist, I can help you to navigate through major change, identify and re-write narratives that hinder your growth, and celebrate achievements along the way. I specialize in anxiety, depression, major life transitions, & inter-generational trauma. As a clinical social worker and a nurse, I am passionate about providing whole-body wellness. I am well versed in issues related to healthcare – whether you are a patient, a healthcare provider, or both!

My therapeutic approach is eclectic and I am trained in several approaches that can be tailored to your needs. I practice a dynamic approach to mental health, drawing upon psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), humanistic, and strength-based methods. Together, we can find an approach that feels most comfortable for you.

To remain safe during COVID, I exclusively offer video sessions using a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform called Doxy.me.

My Role as a Therapist

I founded Beyond the Self after witnessing the pandemic wreak havoc on our world. When it began, I was mid-way through nursing school and watched the challenges of the pandemic take a serious toll on the mental health of my friends, colleagues and loved ones. I feel inspired to support the mental health of others, especially that of healthcare providers. I am uniquely qualified to bridge the fields of social work and nursing in order to provide you with high-quality therapy - virtually.

As a Polish immigrant raised in New York City, I aim to be inclusive of all backgrounds and experiences. I am committed to offering therapeutic services that are self-reflective, anti-oppressive and trauma-informed.
