My Approach to Helping
The intersections of society, family, and identity are crucial to shaping who we are and how we experience the world. I compassionately support clients as they explore formative experiences, current challenges, and who they want to be to build lives where they can thrive.
Whether you’re looking to improve your relationship with yourself, your loved ones, or the world at large, therapy is a space to heal and grow. We’ll work together to identify the thoughts, feelings, and patterns that might be causing distress and act as a barrier to contentment and fulfillment. By exploring the root causes that brought you here with mindfulness, you’ll be able to move forward once again.
Tuning into yourself and understanding your mind’s inner workings can lead to profound insights. Therapy is a portal to change. Let’s find out who you are on the other side.

The legacy of imperialism continues to shape tropes around culture, race, ethnicity, gender, and class. I’m passionate about dismantling these in any way possible. Our current health, economic, and justice systems are highly inequitable, making it very hard for folks to focus on healing if their basic needs aren’t met. Mental illness is usually framed as an individual failing, while we don't account for the ways in which experiences beyond our control influence our mental health.
We live in an oppressive, polarized culture that can prevent us from being vulnerable, kind to ourselves, and connected to others in an authentic way. At the same time, our experiences with culture and identity can be sources of power and belonging.
None of us fall neatly into categories. We all have our unique experiences, and therapy is a place to safely explore and examine those perspectives.
