My Approach to Helping

I specialize in treating adults and older adolescents (15+) for a variety of individual therapy needs and couples counseling services for those seeking better relationships and communication skills.

I provide services for a broad range of personal, psychological, and relational concerns focused on helping clients get to the root of their difficulties and learn ways to become more self-aware, cope with difficult emotions, improve mood, feel connected to others, and live more fulfilling and satisfying lives. Working together we can find ways to get you on the path towards changing where you are now to moving towards where you want to be.

The heart and soul of my approach is to help clients develop insight, self-awareness, self-acceptance, and as always, we work together to understand what the problems are and develop new strategies for tackling them. Are you ready to start the journey towards living your best life?

I have expertise in anxiety and mood disorders, compulsions, binge eating disorders, relationship problems, sexuality, identity concerns, self-defeating patterns and self-sabotage, lack of purpose, goal setting, family of origin issues, trauma, PTSD, attachment issues, self-esteem, transitions, loss and grief, teaching coping skills that address chronic pain and medical challenges.

I've successfully worked with many couples who desire a healthier and more satisfying relationship. I work with many high-functioning couples who would like to enhance their relationship and reestablish intimacy and connection. I also work with individuals at various stages of relationships including: newly-formed relationships, couples seeking pre-marital counseling and guidance, new parents seeking support, those considering separation or divorce and the newly single and ready to date.

My dream is to create a practice that is open and welcoming, providing services to people from all backgrounds, facing any number of life challenges, to get the help they need. I believe therapy is a collaborative relationship and begins with understanding you and your concerns.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

What called me to the profession of counseling is its ability to help people. From volunteering and mentorship in my youth to my work in community mental health and hospital settings, my passion for helping others has been a constant force in my life.
