I specialize in treating adults (ages 18 and up) for a variety of individual therapy needs.
I provide services for a broad range of personal, psychological, and relational concerns focused on helping clients get to the root of their difficulties and learn ways to become more self-aware, cope with difficult emotions, improve mood, feel connected to others, and live more fulfilling and satisfying lives. Working together we can find ways to get you on the path towards changing where you are now to moving towards where you want to be.
The heart and soul of my approach is to help clients develop insight, self-awareness, self-acceptance, and as always, we work together to understand what the problems are and develop new strategies for tackling them. Are you ready to start the journey towards living your best life?
More Info About My Practice
In counseling, I create a supportive and safe environment in which you can move from feeling stuck or confused in some area of life to feeling more confident and better connected to others. The heart and soul of my approach is to help clients develop self-awareness and self-acceptance. We work together to understand what the problems are and develop new strategies for tackling them.
I use mainly Cognitive Behavioral therapy methods in my approach to counseling but also adjust to the client's needs on their own therapy journey and use other therapy methods as needed. I have expertise in anxiety and mood disorders, self-defeating patterns, lack of purpose, family of origin issues, panic disorder, agoraphobia, worrying all the time, low self-esteem, life transitions, loss and grief, and teaching coping skills.
My dream is to create a practice that is open and welcoming, providing services to people from all backgrounds, facing any number of life challenges, to get the help they need. I believe therapy is a collaborative relationship and begins with understanding you and your concerns.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Therapy can help reduce your suffering and increase the positive qualities in your life. I provide services focused on helping you get to the root of your difficulties and learn ways to become more self-aware, cope with difficult emotions, improve mood, feel connected to others, and live a more fulfilling and satisfying life.
My main therapy approach is using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT. Cognitive Behavioral therapy is a counseling treatment proven to be helpful for improving mental health through scientific research. Therefore, this means that CBT is not based only on what people think can work, but what has been shown to work.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
Using an approach like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I am a structured, straightforward, and goal-oriented therapist in my treatment with clients. Most clients in CBT find benefit within 8 to 10 sessions for specific issues and situations. For those experiencing multiple areas that need to be addressed, therapy can take longer to address all of the concerns and that is not abnormal or wrong if that is something you might need to live your best life.
In therapy sessions with me, you can expect sessions to usually be scheduled for 45 to 60 minutes each time and for us to focus on coping skills and processing the different problems and goals you bring in to therapy to address for your own success on the path to feeling better.
At the start of the therapy journey, I usually try to schedule new clients weekly or every other week while we begin getting into the practice of improving your life through coping skills, practice exercises, and other activities so we can regularly check in on your progress. As therapy moves forward, the goal is to start spreading out session frequency to every 3-4 weeks and give you the space you need to really practice the techniques and skills learned in therapy and I then provide "booster" sessions to make sure your progress is long-term, not just a temporary change.
