My Approach to Helping
From the outside, you may seem to be doing fine. Inside, however, you can feel stuck, overwhelmed, and alone. At times, it can feel like you're drowning. You're exhausted from working to meet others' needs and expectations, yet feel you're never getting things right. Again and again, it feels you're somehow falling short. When you're able to say no or ask for what you need, you feel guilty and selfish. You may be starting to feel resentful that others can make time for themselves, but you can't. Maybe you're feeling frazzled, anxious or isolated, but still feel an overwhelming pressure to do more, give more, be better.
You want to feel in control, to be less affected by others' judgment and to say no without having pangs of guilt. You want to once again feel capable and confident. You want to feel more connected to others and at peace with yourself. You want to treat yourself with the same compassion and generosity that you readily show others. I get it and I can help.
