My Approach to Helping
I have had the privilege of working in the mental health field since 1999. I have had great experiences working with a number of issues people are facing ranging from mood disorders, substance use, anxiety and childhood disorders. I appreciate the courage it takes for someone to take the challenge of starting therapy. It is a big step in someones life to acknowledge that they have an issue that they need help with and seek out professional help. My approach is to listen and aid in the problem solving. I believe strongly that each one of us is our own greatest sources of knowledge and strength and sometimes it is just a matter of figuring out how to tap into that resource. Understand that you are in charge of the process of reaching your goal of a healthier you and I will be there to support you through the process. I love being a therapist and it is an honor each day to work with people that are brave enough to tackle their own issues.

My Therapy Focus

The focus of the work is on what the client wants to work on. We will sit down at the first session and design a treatment plan that list goals along with objectives that are measurable. We will check in each session about the status and progress of each goal so it can be a barometer to measure how much progress has been made.
