Do you believe that you deserve to have the best life possible? Life can be really messy and overwhelming at times. I believe you already have within you the power and tools necessary to lead your best life. Sometimes, you may just need a little help figuring that part out.

My approach is holistic, meaning I am looking at all parts that make up who you are. Together, with your help, we will figure out the root of what's causing you distress and get you back on a path to inner joy and peace.

Common struggles I see often include: people who are overwhelmed with feelings of anxiety, sadness, anger, or loneliness, people who are dealing with feelings of low self-esteem or low self-worth, and difficulties with stress management.

We will collaborate to discover your unique strengths and abilities, using these to help propel you forward, moving you past your roadblocks to a more abundant and fulfilling life.

Just as each individual is unique, your therapy sessions will be catered to best fit you and your current situation. My hope is that you will leave with a clearer vision of who you are and where you're going.

I encourage you to visit my website or give me a call to learn more.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

My superpower is helping people learn to love themselves, boost their self-esteem and finally get "unstuck." Wouldn't it be great to really love yourself quirks and all?

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I consider the work that I do sacred. Everyone has a unique story to tell and being a container to help hold their pain and process through it can be really healing. I love seeing the progress people make as they start making themselves a priority. Not only am I able to guide my clients and help them flourish, but my clients also teach me so much about life. Just like my clients, I am always striving to learn and grow, making me a better person and a better therapist.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

"Therapy" tends to be a really taboo concept. I think of it more like having a normal conversation, except you don't have your parents or significant other giving you their two cents. Because I'm a completely outside source, I can help you examine sides to the problem that you may not have thought of before. Together we can brainstorm solutions. Ultimately, therapy is your time and you get to use it how you wish. Many of my clients love coming in because it's a time where they get to talk and be heard and not judged. I'd love to answer any other questions you have!

My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'

Unfortunately, the counseling field is in line with the medical field, in that each person needs to have a diagnosis in order to utilize their insurance benefits. What I have found in working with clients these past several years is that most clients do not meet the criteria for a disorder, but instead are just struggling to deal with "life events." Labeling them with a disorder, although sometimes necessary, often does more harm than good. I will be focusing more on you as a person and less on the disorder.
