In my experience, external circumstances directly reflect internal workings. Therefore, to change our outside life, the work must start within. My practice meets client sin the moment, understanding that feeling pain can open us to experience greater love and joy. Therapy becomes a place to experience that which we often deny to ourselves: tenderness, fear, suffering, shakiness, connectedness, love, bliss, and much more.
We dive together into the depths of shadow, trauma, fragmentation, wounding, and defensiveness, allowing integration and wholeness to occur. We observe the old patterns that shaped your life, removing their power and offering you the chance to experience a more genuine self in the present. And as we so often are hurt in relationships, it is through the therapeutic relationship that one can heal.
When we are born we come into this world in our truest form. Then as we grow up, friends, family, culture, and painful experiences cause a structure to form. This structure protected us and is what we needed to survive, but now that we are older we can look at how that structure, behavior, belief pattern, etc. is no longer serving us. The therapy becomes about moving out of this psychological conditioning and into a deeper spiritual connection with one's authentic self.
My work is transpersonally based, coming from the understanding that every external event is an opportunity to work within. In the therapy you are supported through the external difficulties, while moving the focus toward the internal processes. Even though we cannot change how excruciating our hurt is, there is potential within the suffering for immense growth.
I believe the healing and resources for which you search lie within you. Sometimes you just need someone to assist you to find your fullness. The work tends to bring about greater awareness, acceptance of self, and integration to wholeness.
